Teacher Lounge guidelines
The Lounge exists so no one teaches alone. These are the principles it's being built around — the final, enforceable policy will be published with the app.
Lead with support
Celebrate wins, answer questions generously, and assume the person posting is having a real day. Encouragement and practical help are the point.
Protect students and colleagues
Don't share student names, photos, records, or identifying details. Keep specifics about colleagues, families, and schools out of posts — describe the situation, not the people.
Keep it a teachers' space
No harassment, discrimination, or personal attacks. No spam, unsolicited selling, MLM recruiting, or off-topic promotion.
Share responsibly
Credit other creators' ideas and resources, and don't post material you don't have the right to share. If you post something a peer helped you build, say so.
Not a crisis or advice service
The Lounge is peer support between educators. It isn't medical, mental-health, legal, or HR advice. If you or a student is in danger, contact local emergency services or your school's designated support first.
Reporting and enforcement
Final details on who can join, how reports are reviewed, response times, and what happens when guidelines are broken are being finalized and will be published here before the Lounge opens.
